Kishtwar: Deputy Commissioner (DC)  Kishtwar, Sh. Pankaj Kumar Sharma (JKAS) today  chaired a meeting with concerned departments and stakeholders to review the necessary arrangements for Shri Machail Mata Ji Yatra-2025, commencing from July 25, 2025.

The meeting discussed various issues observed by members of Sarv Shakti Sevak Sanstha and other religious organizations during their recent visit to Machail.

The members highlighted the need for additional tents at Shri Gori Shankar Mandir Sarkoot/Chowgan, timely completion of Yatri Bhawan at Gulabgarh, proper cleanliness and sanitation facilities, additional mobile toilets, enhanced security, and maintenance of roads at landslide-prone areas.

The DC directed SDM Paddar to closely monitor essential facilities and assign individual responsibilities to field employees for regular monitoring and smooth Yatra experience.

The DC issued directions for adequate arrangements at Gauri Shankar Temple, Sarkoot, and en route to the holy shrine, including availability of essential commodities, uninterrupted water and electricity supply, and proper sanitation facilities. Comprehensive traffic management and timely road maintenance have also been planned.

Additionally, the PMGSY, GREF and BRO have been directed to carry out timely road maintenance for safe and uninterrupted travel of pilgrims especially at Pathernaki landslide prone area.

DC Kishtwar urged devotees to register online through the official website www.shrimachailmatayatra.com to avoid long queues. Online registration will start from today onwards.

The DC assured full support from the district administration to members of Sarv Shakti Sevak Sanstha and other religious organizations.

The DC directed SDM Paddar to explore possibilities of Palkies for devotees unable to walk, as no heli services are operational this year due to security reasons.

The meeting was attended by senior officers including ADDC Kishtwar Pawan Kotwal JKAS, SDM Paddar Dr Amit Kumar (JKAS), Tehsildar HQ Kishtwar Sunali Rani (JKAS),  concerned District Officers/Officials, and  President/ members of Sarv Shakti Sevak Sanstha, Sanatan Dharm Sabha Kishtwar, and Vishwa Hindu Parishad Kishtwar.
