Advocate Mohsin Dar Suggests Strategic Steps for Free Bijli Movement in Kishtwar

Kishtwar: Advocate Mohsin Dar has put forward key suggestions to strengthen the ongoing Free Bijli Movement in District Kishtwar, emphasizing the need for a structured approach to achieve meaningful results.

He advised the movement’s leaders to first engage with all local representatives, including MLAs, municipal members, and influential community figures, to gather their opinions and seek their support. He stressed that political backing could add significant weight to their demands.

Furthermore, he suggested forming a dedicated coordination committee that would be responsible for outreach to major stakeholders, including:
• Media Houses (National & Regional) for wider coverage of the issue.
• Lawyers for legal guidance and possible legal actions.
• Scholars, Writers, and Researchers to document and highlight the movement’s cause.
• Vloggers and Social Media Influencers to amplify public awareness and mobilization.

Advocate Dar also recommended preparing a fact-based report with data on Kishtwar’s power generation, electricity distribution policies, and comparisons with similar regions. Additionally, he urged the movement to organize peaceful rallies, engage policy experts, explore legal channels, and ensure internal unity and transparency to maintain credibility.

He emphasized that a well-structured and strategic approach would increase the movement’s chances of success, urging its leaders to focus on coordination, legal backing, and broad public engagement.
