RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav declared on Tuesday that the INDIA bloc’s poll manifesto will act as a pioneering vision document. The document primarily aims to elevate Bihar to the number one position among Indian states.
Speaking to reporters in Patna, Yadav stated, “We have crafted a comprehensive vision for the state’s development and a robust roadmap for its growth. This manifesto can rightly be termed as the ‘Tejashwi Pran Patra’, or ‘Tejashwi’s Resolution Document.’” He instructed party members to rally behind the vision, emphasizing a collective effort for growth.
The opposition coalition’s manifesto is set to be unveiled later today, forming a critical component of their election strategy.
Yadav criticized the NDA, pointing out that the ruling coalition has failed to announce its chief ministerial candidate or release its own manifesto. He stated, “We have publicly declared our CM face before the polls and our manifesto will be revealed today. What about the NDA? They haven’t even confirmed their CM candidate or published their manifesto. It appears they merely copy our promises,” he remarked, showcasing his confidence in the INDIA bloc’s proposals.
During the press interaction, Yadav launched a sharp critique against both Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He claimed both leaders have not delivered the requisite progress Bihar deserves. “Every time the PM visits Bihar, he resorts to attacking opposition leaders instead of focusing on constructive politics,” Yadav charged.
The 243-member Bihar Assembly is set for elections in two phases on November 6 and November 11. The counting of votes and the declaration of results will occur on November 14, and anticipation builds around the outcomes as various parties strive to claim authority in the crucial state.
Yadav’s remarks underscore the mounting political tension as the Bihar elections approach, with the JD(U), BJP, and other parties likely to ramp up their campaigning in response to the INDIA bloc’s initiatives. The opposition aims to solidify their voter base by resonating with the aspirations of the electorate for a more prosperous Bihar.
