LOCKS ON EDUCATION: GOVT PRIMARY SCHOOL HIRKHANI DRUBEEL CLOSED FOR DAYS; PARENTS ACCUSE ADMINISTRATION OF PLAYING WITH CHILDREN’S FUTURE INDERWAL (KISHTWAR) — Deep resentment and anger are brewing among the residents of Hirkhani Drubeel in the Inderwal zone over the continuous closure of Government Primary School, Hirkhani Drubeel, which has been non-functional for the past several days.
The local community and parents have expressed grave concern, stating that the prolonged closure is directly playing with the academic career and future of their young children. Despite education being a fundamental right, the absolute closure of the educational institution has left dozens of students stranded without classes, throwing their academic calendar into complete disarray.
Expressing their frustration, the local residents said, *”Our children are being deprived of their basic right to education. The school has been shut for days with no accountability. This is nothing short of playing with the future of our youth, and the administrative apathy is completely unacceptable.”*
The residents further stated that while the government boasts about strengthening the education sector in rural and far-flung areas, the ground reality in Zone-Inderwal exposes a completely different picture of negligence. The lack of staff accountability and monitoring by the concerned zonal authorities has left the local population feeling abandoned.
Through this the aggrieved public and local representatives urgently appeal to the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, the Chief Education Officer (CEO), and the Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Inderwal to take immediate note of this serious issue. They have demanded an immediate inquiry into why the school has remained closed, strict action against the negligent staff, and the immediate resumption of regular classes to save the academic future of the students.
