Kishtwar: District Police Kishtwar has released posters featuring four active terrorists identified as Saifullah, Farman, Adil, and another suspected to be named Basha. A cash reward of Rs 5 lakh per terrorist has been announced for anyone providing credible information about them. The identity of informants will be kept strictly confidential to ensure public cooperation.
This move comes after last year’s terror activities in the Kishtwar district in chatroo forests and Kuntwara area where terrorists abducted and killed two Village Defense Guards, Nazir Ahmed and Kuldeep Kumar. The responsibility for these killings was claimed by Kashmir Tigers, a subsidiary group of Jaish-e-Mohammed operating from Pakistan.
The region has also witnessed multiple clashes between security forces and militants. Notably, during an exchange of fire in the Chatroo forests, two soldiers were martyred, and two others were injured, while the militants managed to escape. Another encounter in the upper reaches of Keshwan resulted in the martyrdom of a security personnel.
Kishtwar Police has urged the public to provide any information about these terrorists’ hideouts. Citizens can contact the nearest police station or use the provided helpline numbers in the poster. Authorities have emphasized that informant’s identities will be fully protected to ensure their safety and encourage cooperation.
