Weather advisory – on kishtwar Sinthan National Highway via Sinthan top due to adverse conditions
Whereas the one way traffic movement on kishtwar sinthan national highway via Sinthan top on 17-04-2025 is scheduled from kishtwar to Anantnag as per eariler notification.
Whereas heavy rainfall has been continuously lashing Sinthan Top since evening, raising serious concerns over road safety and possible disruption.
Whereas there are credible inputs indicating that snowfall may have commenced at higher reaches of Sinthan Top, making the highway potentially hazardous for commuters.
Whereas it is imperative to prioritize public safety and prevent any untoward incident on this sensitive and weather-prone route.
In view of the above, it is hereby ordered that no commuter shall undertake travel from Kishtwar to Anantnag via Sinthan Top until a fresh update is officially communicated tomorrow subject to clearness from NHIDCL authorities
Strict adherence to this order is mandatory and any violation shall be at the individual’s own risk and responsibility.
