[1/06/2025] – The Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Chatroo has issued an immediate order suspending all vehicular movement on the Kishtwar–Sinthan National Highway via Sinthan Top for today. The decision follows yesterday’s snowfall, which has created “unfavorable weather conditions and accumulation of snow,” rendering the road surface extremely slippery and unsafe for travel.
Public safety is the paramount concern behind this measure. The SHO Chatroo has been tasked with strictly enforcing the halt of vehicles at the Parna Check Post, Chingam, ensuring no one proceeds towards Sinthan Top.
