People celebrates Eid-ul-Adha with religious fervor and gaiety across Chenab Valley

Bhaderwah :- Eid-ul-Adha, the festival of sacrifice was celebrated across Chenab Valley with full religious fervor and gaiety on Saturday with thousands of Muslims thronged different Eidgahs and Jamia Masjids to offer special Eid prayers on the occasion.
Bakra Eid is being celebrated with great religious fervour and enthusiasm, to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him).
The day begun with special prayers for the peace, progress and well-being of the Ummah and religious processions were also taken out.
In Bhaderwah, since morning people started assembling in the premisses of Jamia Masjid Bhaderwah where from they marched towards historical Eidgah in the form of huge proccession while chanting religious slogans. A large influx of people were also witnessed in Eid Gah Gatha.
President Anjuman-e-islamia Bhadarwah Riaz Ahmed Najar and Imaam Jamia Masjid Gatha Mufti Mohd Ayub while speaking on the occasion, greeted the people on the eve of Eid-Ul-Adha and said this Eid is a great day in the history of Islam. It teaches sacrificing every thing in the way of God, helping poor and needy is the message of Eid. Tbey also prayed for peace, prosperity and brotherhood.
He also urged upon the Muslim Community to be united and help all needy people on this occasion.
At the end special prayer was also offered by the Jamia Masjid Imam to bring Joy, prosperity, brotherhood, communal harmony in the UT as well as country as a whole.
Children were a happy lot as they got ‘Eidi’ (Eid donation) from their elders and then, wearing fancy dresses, made their ways to garden and parks after the prayers.
ADC Bhaderwah Sunil Kumar Bhutiyal, SP Bhaderwah Vinod Sharma, SDPO Bhaderwah Shoket Ali, SHO Bhaderwah Suresh Gautam, Tehsildar Bhaderwah Kamalpreet Singh, Inspector Irshad Ahmed, Naib Tehsildar Parampreet Singh and others were present on the occasion.
They also greeted people on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.
After Eid prayers hundreds of people gathered to pay obience to the Islamic flag traditionally known as ‘Jhande Ki Salami’. This unique tradition of paying obience to the flag on the eve of Eid is being performed since more than 5 decades. Now this ritual has spread in whole Chenab Valley and most parts of Jammu province.
Security has been beefed-up in Bhadarwah and it’s peripheral areas on the eve of Eid-ul-Adha by the administration.
People of Doda and its adjoining areas assembled in their respective Eid Gahs to offer prayer of Eid-Ul-Adha.
Security was beefed up in Bhadarwah, Doda, Ramban, Banihal, Kishtwar and other areas on the eve of Eid-ul-Adha by the administration to maintain law and order.
Meanwhile people across Chenab Valley including Doda, Gandoh, Kishtwar, Marwah, Ramban, Batote, Gool and Banihal also celebrated Eid-ul-Adha with religious fervour and offered prayers in their respective Eidgahs.
