MVD Kishtwar Takes Swift Action Against Traffic Violations at Chowgan Ground

Kishtwar: In a decisive move to enforce traffic regulations, the Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Kishtwar swiftly responded to a recent breach involving an XUV 500 (Registration No: JK02BP9154) that unlawfully entered Chowgan Ground, a designated no-vehicle zone. The incident, which transpired amidst a large public gathering, garnered significant attention after being shared widely on social media platforms.
After reviewing the viral footage, the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Tasleem Wani of Kishtwar wasted no time and issued an electronic challan of Rs 4000 to the vehicle’s owner. The hefty fine was levied not only for the illegal entry but also for the vehicle’s lack of appropriate insurance coverage.
In addition to this, another vehicle with registration number JK177123 was also challaned for Rs 4000 due to disobedience of traffic regulations and for having an expired pollution certificate.
These prompt enforcement actions highlight the unwavering commitment of the MVD Kishtwar to uphold traffic laws and prioritize public safety, particularly in densely populated areas.
