Massive Fire Guts 20 Houses in Anantnag’s Kadipora
Srinagar, Mar 20: A devastating fire broke out in the Gujnag Kadipora area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, reducing nearly 20 residential houses to ashes and leaving hundreds homeless.
Eyewitnesses said the fire started from the house of late Nisar Ahmad Lulu and quickly spread to adjacent structures. Despite efforts by locals, firefighters, and police, the flames could not be controlled in time, resulting in extensive damage.
Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Fakhuruddin, along with police and civil administration officials, visited the area to assess the situation and assured immediate relief to the affected families. “In this holy month of Ramadan, we will ensure timely assistance to all victims,” he stated.
