Landslide Damages Homes in Tehsil Mughalmaidan; No Casualties Reported ⛰️
MUGHALMAIDAN, kishtwar – Heavy overnight rainfall led to a significant landslide in Ward No. 5 (Neera), of Panchayat Ralthal, Tehsil Mughalmaidan, causing severe damage to four residential houses. No casualties were reported due to the prompt and heroic efforts of local villagers who evacuated the affected families to safer locations.
The landslide, triggered by incessant rain, struck the area late last night. The following houses have been severely damaged:
- Subash Kumar, S/o Bal Krishna
- Sanjay Kumar, S/o Som Nath
- Ashok Kumar, S/o Bal Krishan
- Bal Krishan, S/o Late Nehial Chand
Local authorities were alerted and are on-site to assess the full extent of the damage and provide necessary assistance. The displaced families are currently being sheltered in nearby homes. Efforts are underway to ensure they receive immediate relief, including food, water, and temporary shelter arrangements.
