Incharge Police Post Mughalmaidan Holds Interactive Session with Students at GHS Tagood

In an outreach initiative, the PSI Abhinav R Salgotra ICPP Mughalmaidan under the guidance of higher police formation , an interacted with students of Government High School (GHS) Tagood . The event was part of the community policing efforts aimed at bridging the gap between the police and the younger generation.During the session, the officer engaged with students on a range of important topics including role of police in prevention and detection of crime, drug abuse prevention, cyber safety, career guidance, and the role of youth in building a responsible society. Students were encouraged to stay focused on education and learn to differentiate between the just and unjust to make a crime free society.
The Incharge highlighted the importance of discipline, moral values, and awareness of legal rights and duties. “Our youth are the future of our nation. It is our responsibility to guide them in the right direction and protect them from harmful elements,” he stated.
The session saw enthusiastic participation from both students and teachers, who appreciated the initiative. Several students raised queries about cybercrime, mobile safety, and police functioning, which were answered with clarity and patience.
Staff members of GHS Tagood expressed gratitude to the police department for conducting the awareness program and urged for such interactions to be held regularly.
This initiative is part of a broader effort by J&K Police to build trust and promote proactive communication between law enforcement and the public, especially in remote areas like Tagood Tehsil Mughalmaidan.
