Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Mayawati declared that the unprecedented attendance, especially from youth and women, at a rally commemorating the 19th death anniversary of party founder Kanshi Ram has caused rival political parties to feel anxious. The rally, organized on the 19th anniversary of Kanshi Ram’s passing, took place in Lucknow at the Kanshi Ram Memorial on VIP Road, where enthusiastic attendees pledged their support for a future BSP government in Uttar Pradesh.
In a post on X, Mayawati highlighted the spirited slogans chanted during the event, which she interpreted as a testament to the unwavering dedication of the party’s supporters. She expressed that the turnout, which many described as “record-breaking,” is a clear indicator of the growing influence of BSP in the state.
“It is natural for opposition leaders to lose their composure after witnessing such a colossal display of strength,” she remarked, emphasizing that rival parties should prepare for the political challenges ahead. Mayawati advised her supporters to remain unfazed by what she termed as “meaningless remarks and statements” from opponents.
Highlighting the significance of the BSP’s role in empowering marginalized communities, she stated, “The people of the Bahujan Samaj have shown the entire country their commitment to fulfilling Baba Saheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s vision of transforming the oppressed into the ruling class through their votes.”
Mayawati encouraged party workers to maintain vigilance against the “divisive and deceitful tactics” employed by their political adversaries. She emphasized a collective focus on ‘Mission 2027’, the BSP’s strategic plan aimed at securing success in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
In her address, she extended heartfelt thanks to party functionaries and workers from all 75 districts who successfully facilitated the attendance of lakhs of supporters to the rally. Mayawati praised their efforts in galvanizing an atmosphere of unity and strength, calling it a crucial step in advancing the BSP’s mission.
Mayawati’s statements reflect a broader strategy to reinvigorate the BSP’s base ahead of the critical 2027 elections. As Uttar Pradesh remains a political battleground, her focus on empowering the marginalized continues to resonate with many voters who seek representation and change.
As rival parties monitor the growing momentum of the BSP, the landscape of Uttar Pradesh politics may shift significantly in the lead-up to the elections, further underlining the importance of community engagement within the state’s diverse electorate.
