Give Kashmir’s Apple Growers and Truckers Relief as a Birthday Gift: Sheikh Iqbal Urges PM Modi

BJP Youth Leader Sheikh Mohammad Iqbal has made a heartfelt appeal to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji on his birthday, urging him to extend a special gift to the people of Kashmir by announcing compensation for apple growers and EMI relief for truck drivers.

“Apple is not just a fruit, it is the pride and lifeline of Kashmir’s economy. Every rotting box of apple is a shattered hope of a farmer. On the birthday of our beloved Prime Minister, we request him to give Kashmir this gift of relief – compensation for growers and protection for truckers,” Iqbal said.

He strongly criticized the hardships faced by truck drivers, stating: “Our truckers carry the farmers’ sweat and toil, but they themselves are drowning in EMIs. They don’t need bank notices, they need support from the Government. A waiver and moratorium can save their livelihood.”

Sheikh Iqbal called upon both the Prime Minister and the UT Administration to take bold steps, including, Financial compensation to apple growers for losses. EMI relief and moratorium for truck drivers and Uninterrupted transport access to ensure fruit reaches markets on time.


“Kashmir’s apple economy is bleeding. If Delhi and Srinagar do not act now, the damage will be irreparable. Hon’ble Prime Minister Modi Ji has always stood with the poor and the farmers – this birthday, let the gift be hope and relief for Kashmir’s growers and transporters,” Iqbal concluded.
