DC Kishtwar Reviews Security Scenario of Hydroelectric Power Projects
Kishtwar, May 29: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Sh. Rajesh Kumar Shavan (JKAS), reviewed the security aspects of upcoming hydroelectric power projects, including Kiru, Kwar, and Pakkal Dul, in a meeting here today.
The Additional Superintendent of Police briefed the DC on current security arrangements, assuring adequate deployments for project safety.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that security and safety of these assets are top priorities.
He directed stakeholders to install proper fencing around the project sites, enhance security measures/ survelliance, and maintain constant vigil to prevent untoward incidents.
He also instructed for establishment of a monitoring cell to oversee already installed CCTV cameras, who shall report suspicious activities to concerned police authorities immediately.
The DC assured full support from the district administration to ensure the safety and security of these project.
The meeting was attended by ADC Pawan Kotwal, ACR Idrees Lone, Addl SP Kishtwar, and representatives from hydroelectric project authorities.
