Srinagar, April 1- – The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has achieved a remarkable feat by reopening the crucial Zojila Pass on the Srinagar-Leh Highway after a brief closure of just 32 days, marking one of the shortest winter shutdowns in history.
The Zojila Pass, situated at an altitude of 11,649 feet, is a vital link between Kashmir Valley and Ladakh, serving as a lifeline for the movement of goods and personnel. The pass is typically closed during harsh winter months due to heavy snowfall and extreme weather conditions.
