Insurance Enrolment and J&K Nasha Mukt Abhiyan Awareness were key Focus
A record number of 150 Drivers Enrolled
Kishtwar: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar,Pankaj Kumar Sharma JKAS, and Transport Commissioner J&K Vishesh Paul Mahajan JKAS,the Transport Department Kishtwar led by ARTO Kishtwar Tasleem Wani JKAS, in collaboration with J&K Bank Branch Kishtwar led by Cluster Head Khursheed Akhoon & Transport Union Kishtwar organized a welfare camp for commercial vehicle operators & drivers at Bus Stand Kishtwar.
The initiative aimed to extend essential welfare services, including registration under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana & Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana,financial literacy, and awareness on the J&K Nasha Mukt Abhiyan,among drivers and transport workers.
*During the camp, a record number of 150 drivers were enrolled under the insurance schemes, ensuring financial protection and social security coverage for them and their families.*
Speaking on the occasion, ARTO Kishtwar, highlighted that the Transport Department is committed to the welfare and safety of transport community.He said that such initiatives not only ensure financial security for drivers and operators but also play a significant role in spreading awareness about responsible driving and healthy living.He also hailed the support of J&K Bank Kishtwar & Transport Union Kishtwar in organising this welfare camp for the betterment of Transport Community.
The camp was attended by MVI Robin Parihar,Transport Association President Bansi Lal Shan,Truck Owners Union President Mohd Saleem,J&K Bank Officials Ravi Sharma,Anil Sharma,UMEED volunteers & others.
