Delhi Police Nab Two Criminals Linked to Foreign Gangsters

The Delhi Police took decisive action on Friday by arresting two wanted criminals linked to foreign-based gangsters following an encounter in the Kapashera area. The detained individuals, identified as Akash Rajput and Mahipal, both hailing from Rajasthan, pose significant threats due to their alleged involvement in serious criminal activities.

Akash Rajput faces grave charges, including extortion and kidnapping, spread across multiple states such as Haryana, Gujarat, and Rajasthan. The Rajasthan Police had previously announced a ₹20,000 bounty on his capture, underscoring the urgency of his arrest.

Rajput gained notoriety due to his involvement in a notorious case – the July 2022 firing incident outside a hospital in Assandh, Karnal. This attack occurred under the direction of gangster Daler Kotia. Furthermore, Rajput is also a suspect in a high-profile kidnapping case in Gujarat from July 2025, during which gangster Kirit Singh Jhala allegedly demanded a ransom of ₹100 crore.

A police officer stated, “Rajput’s recent activities indicated his deepening ties with a syndicate comprised of notorious gangsters including Rohit Godara, Goldy Brar, and Virender Charan. His arrest is a significant blow to this criminal network.”

Alongside Rajput, the other suspect, Mahipal, had a history of criminal activity. He had previously been arrested in connection with the Karnal firing case but had been released on bail, only to become active within the same criminal network.

During the encounter, Rajput sustained a bullet injury to his lower body. Police swiftly transported him to a nearby hospital for treatment, where his condition remains stable. Authorities have commenced extensive investigations to dismantle the broader criminal syndicate in which these individuals operated.

The Delhi Police continue to work diligently to address the rising concerns of gang-related violence and criminal activity in the region. Their ongoing efforts to apprehend wanted criminals linked to foreign gangsters reflect their commitment to ensuring public safety.
