Sat Sharma Exposes Congress, NC for Opportunist Politics

Bandipora, Kashmir: On September 30, J&K BJP President Sat Sharma accused the Congress, National Conference (NC), and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) of opportunist politics that has harmed both the region and the nation. Speaking at the inauguration of the Namo Exhibition in Gulshan Chowk, Sharma condemned the INDI alliance parties for betraying the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

The exhibition, held as part of Seva Parv to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, gathered several BJP leaders, including General Secretary Anwar Khan and District President Mudassir Farooq Jan.

Sharma launched a strong critique against the INDI alliance, contending that for decades, these dynastic parties relied on nepotism and corruption, leaving Jammu and Kashmir in a state of despair. “Their politics of self-interest has deprived our youth of opportunities, leading to shattered dreams,” he stated. He emphasized that the Congress, NC, and PDP together stagnated development while they enjoyed their time in power.

Sharma contrasted this with the achievements of the Modi government, asserting that since 2014, there has been a transformative shift towards unprecedented development, transparency, and accountability in India and Jammu and Kashmir. “Infrastructure expansion, economic reforms, and social justice under Modi Ji exemplify a vision for a ‘New India’,” he remarked. The tangible results, he argued, starkly contrasted with the broken promises of the INDI alliance.

Anwar Khan echoed Sharma’s sentiments regarding the exhibition, stating it depicts significant milestones of Modi’s life, including sacrifice and visionary leadership. “Unlike the INDI alliance, which symbolizes corruption and betrayal, this exhibition showcases true dedication to the people,” said Khan.

Mudassir Farooq Jan also weighed in by highlighting that Modi’s leadership has redefined India and Jammu and Kashmir’s global identity. He reiterated the BJP’s commitment to disseminate these achievements to the public at a grassroots level.

Sharma’s remarks come amid rising political rivalries in the region, where parties continue to jostle for control and influence. The BJP remains focused on promoting its agenda of development and transparency while opposing what it terms as the exploitative tactics of the rival parties.

As Jammu and Kashmir navigates its political landscape, the rhetoric surrounding opportunist politics will likely intensify as the next election cycle approaches, with parties vying to win over a population that has long awaited tangible development and effective governance.
