Jammu : Subedar Major Chain Singh, the talented Indian sport shooter, alongside teammates Aishwarya Tomar and Akhil Sheron, clinched the silver medal in the men’s 50m rifle 3 position event at the 16th Asian Shooting Championship.
A Junior Commissioned Officer in the Indian Army, Singh has been honing his shooting skills since 2007 and has proudly represented India in numerous prestigious international competitions, including the 2016 Rio Olympics.
His remarkable achievements include a bronze medal at the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, an individual gold at the 2014 Asian Airgun Championship, and six gold medals at the 2016 South Asian Games. Singh also excelled at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and secured a silver medal at the ISSF World Cup in Munich.
With over 50 medals to his name from National Shooting Championships and several records, Chain Singh continues to be a shining star in Indian shooting sports, inspiring a new generation of athletes.
