Jammu: 10-year-old Samradhi Sen, a seventh-grade student at Sunita Devi Memorial School Kishtwar, has captured the hearts of thousands with her melodious singing and remarkable harmonium skills. Recently, she achieved a monumental milestone by winning a gold medal at the National Singing and Dance Competition 2024, held in Gujarat. The event featured talented participants from across the country, but Samradhi’s exceptional performance and stage presence earned her widespread acclaim from the judges and audience alike.
Hailing from Hatta village in Kishtwar, Samradhi’s rise to fame began at a young age. Her debut public performance was during the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao program organized by the ICDS Department in Kishtwar. She later participated in the “Choona Hai Asman” competition organized by the District Police Kishtwar, where she advanced to the district level. Her outstanding singing skills also earned her a standing ovation at the “Choona Hai Asman – Season” event held by RPHQ Batote J&K in Doda.
Samradhi’s dedication to her craft has not only made her a local sensation, with her song videos receiving thousands of hits online, but also a source of pride for her school and community. Upon returning home after her national victory, she was warmly welcomed by her family, teachers, and senior police officials, including ASP Kishtwar Pawan Sharma and DySP Sajjad Khan.
Her music teacher expressed immense pride in Samradhi’s accomplishments, stating, “We have high hopes for her and wish her continued success in making Kishtwar proud.” In a talk with media, Samradhi thanked her music teacher, family, and well-wishers for their unwavering support, as well as the J&K Police for their encouragement.
Samradhi’s talent, passion, and hard work continue to inspire many, and her future in the world of music looks incredibly promising.
